The recepient of the 2007 JURIST OF THE YEAR Was Mr. Samuel Kivuitu. Chairman of the Electoral Commission of Kenya. He served as a member of Parliament for 10 years between 1969 - 1974 and 1983 - 1988. He is a past chairman of the association of African Election Authorities (AAEA) between 2002 - 2005 and still serves on the advisory board as a member amongst other involvements.
