The long title of the Bill is an Act of Parliament to provide for the management of government financial affairs, to make certain provisions with respect to the exchequer account and the Consolidated Fund, to provide for persons to be responsible for government resources and to provide for other related matters. The plans for government expenditure and revenue are promulgated in the budget.

Analysis Of The Privatization Bill, 2004 PDF Print E-mail

Privatization has been defined as a programme of denationalisation that is removing the provision of public utility services from the public sector into the private sector under the auspices of public companies with public shareholders or private companies. The shareholders may or may not include the government. It has also been defined as the economic process of transferring property from public ownership to private ownership. Privatization helps top establish a free market in theory and fosters capitalistic competition by reducing state control of essential services.

Standards Act, Cap 496 PDF Print E-mail

The Act is meant to promote the standardization of the specification of commodities, and to provide for the standardization of commodities and codes of practice; to establish a Kenya Bureau of Standards, to define its functions and provide for its management and control. Code of practice is interpreted in the Act as a set of rules relating to the methods to be applied or the procedure to be adopted in connexion with the construction, installation, testing, sampling, operation or use of any article, apparatus, instrument, device or process.
