The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission: Flawed Recruitment Processes

on .

On January 12, 2012, Civil Society members joined together to express their misgivings with the appointment process for the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).  The process, apart from being behind the deadline set by the Constitution, has been questionable and illogical in recommending commission officials.  The EACC is a vital mechanism for fighting corruption in Kenya, and requires the highest levels of integrity and credibility.

ICJ Kenya joined Transparency International, FIDA Kenya, ICPC, CLARION and CRECO in issuing a joint press statement to express their concerns.  The full press statement can be seen here.
