The Civil Society of the Year Award (CSOYA) Committee has decided to award the CSOYA 2009 Governance and Managment Category to the Kenya Section of the International Commission lf Jurist (ICJ Kenya).  At the same time ICJ Kenya emerged 2nd on the Financial Management Category.

 

Before awarding ICJ the committee went further to say that ICJ Kenya has over the years established a strong and active Board with appropriate skills to lead the growth of the organisation.  The Board meets regularly and the organisation attributes its progress to the efforts and support by the Board.

ICJ Kenya has developed and institutionalised clear and effective management policies and procedures that guide organisational operations.  ICJ Kenya has strong leadership and management structures that contribute to a strong performance culture in the organisation. ICJ Kenya has a reliable asset management systems.
