Organizational Structure
The Kenyan Section of the International Commission of Jurists consists of over 300 members, drawn from the legal community who believe that all human beings are entitled to cultural, political and economic, social and legal frameworks that promote and protect human dignity. By joining ICJ Kenya they pledge their efforts to accomplishment of this ideal.
Management
ICJ Kenya is managed under a Constitution by a Governing Council of seven members elected for two terms during an Annual General Meeting of members. The Council comprises the Chairperson, Vice-chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer and three non-office bearers and each can only serve for a maximum of two terms.
The principle role of the Council is to provide a strategic framework within which the ICJ Kenya secretariat executes programmes/projects. The secretariat staff are professional people employed on equal opportunity basis.
The secretariat ensures the day to day running of the organisation. The secretariat is headed by an Executive Director.
