He was the recipient of the award in 1993. He is a former Chairman of the Law Society of Kenya and was recently appointed a Senior Counsel. He was at one time a Lecturer in Law at the University of Nairobi. Mr. Kuria is a practicing Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.
